The Basics of Staff Engagement
Want a happier more engaged more productive workforce? Follow these simple steps.
- Communicate – talk to your people, tell them what is going on and keep them up to date with the bigger picture.
- Give your staff the chance to talk to you – present yourself in an approachable way, let people know that you are interested in their ideas and opinions. Listen.
- Praise – when someone does something well then let them know that you saw or heard about it. Let them know they are appreciated. Look for opportunities to say thanks and good job.
If you follow these three simple steps and are sincere in your approach, you will be surprised at the result.
